Microwave
Posted on 04.21.17 by everything @

I was reading an article that stated to use a microwave to quickly “zap” vegetables. And white or sweet potatoes can be baked quickly this way as well. Well, that may be all well and true, however, when you “zap” a vegetable or any sort of food in the microwave you have just depleted much if not all of the nutritional value of the food. So, if the food is garbage anyways then zap it otherwise you may want to find another way to cook it.

Bunn Coffee
Posted on 04.02.12 by everything @

If you want to have good tasting coffee then you have to have the right equipment and bunn coffee equipment seems to be a great brand. I have a Kruger coffee maker and it is good too. We have had it for around 4 years and just recently it is on the fritz and starting to be very temperamental. So, my husband was looking at the new models in the same brand but they are not getting the rave reviews we thought. It is more like a hit or miss sort of product – you may get a good one that will last like ours or you may get one that last 4 months like my mother in laws. So, maybe we will go with another brand this time…we’ll see.

Shari’s Berries New Cake Pops
Posted on 01.23.12 by everything @

The hottest gift this holiday season I think was the cake pop kits. These things are so fabulous if you like to make things for your kids and their classes. It is a cake on a pop but the fun part about it is that you can decorate it to be just about anything. There are so many books out there to help you with ideas and show you great decorations for different cake pop creations. But for those of you who don’t like to cook and create but you enjoy to eat then you have to check out shari’s berries new cake pops – cake pops are fun and delicious!

Homemade Cakes
Posted on 02.25.11 by everything @

There is something to be said for making a cake from scratch. I actually made one today and it was quite delicious. I even made the icing. It took a few hours and it made quite the mess and cost more with all the ingredients that used than a box mix would have but it was quite good…thank goodness because it took up 1/2 an afternoon!
