I have always wanted to take up pottery. In fact, my good friend is an artist and she just gave away her kiln to someone that loves to do pottery. If there is one thing that I would take if I could go back to high school…it would be ceramics. I have always been interested in it but just never seem to be able to take the time to take classes. So, I have been reading up myself to see if I can get things to self teach myself. AMACO/Brent is a great site with so many products for yourpottery supply. They have everything from majolica glazes to slump molds. When it comes to ceramics it is very important that you get good supplies. And the arts can be very expensive if you do not know where to shop that is for sure. My friend is an artist and it can be quite costly. Hobbies in the fine arts can be costly….arts, music, culinary….they all require you to buy a lot of products in order to get the job done. But it can be a lot of fun. To me pottery would be a form of relaxation and if I can get all my supplies at one place for a very competative and affordable price then that is even better in my opinion!
